The journal Mujer [Woman], which ran for under one year, carried out a unique job of work on the role of women at the time-at once educational, legislative and popularizing. In this article we go into this work in depth, not losing sight of the fact that the journal provided women artists and journalists with a unique space to collaborate and spread a seroral kind of feminism, in the mould of the associative movement of the moment, although centred on Spain and, therefore, without reference to foreign initiatives.
