Résumé | This paper seeks to explore the link between drama/theatre and language pedagogy. The purpose is to highlight the role of the body in theatrical expression and the use of this practise in teaching and learning French as a foreign language. It relates to Joseph Rézeau’s work on the concept of mediation in Language Didactics. After a brief description of the concept of mediation, the paper explains the choice of a course that helps students learn a language differently so as to engage themselves and push back their limits. Some brief comments of a qualitative research will be presented in order to analyse student’s understanding and consciousness not only of the body but their body during theatrical activities. |
