The 10th anniversary of Typhoon Haiyan in 2023 summons a working-through of trauma that is still in progress despite rehabilitation of the local economy and infrastructure. Exemplified by the Filipino word "Sugat," referring to both “wound” and “encounter,” the project is focused on providing sustainable education in a variety of forms to help Filipinos cope with natural calamities, including podcasts that render sustainability as an integral and indissociable aspect of daily life. The Sugat project aims to conduct interdisciplinary dialogue and a safe space for vulnerable sectors, artists, scholars, scientists, and the youth to address the sustainable development goals.

En préparation depuis le 3 août 2022, le partenariat avec Shanthini Pillai de la National University of Malaysia (en Malay, UKM) et l'UCO s'est concrétisé par le séjour du Dr. Pillai au campus d'Angers du 6 septembre au 5 octobre 2023. Les résultats de son passage sont nombreux: (1) début d'un co-direction de deux doctorats entre UKM et UCO sur les liens entre la France et le Malaisie, ce qui implique aussi, l'exploration de mobilité pour la faculté; (2) réunions et projets avec les Relations internationales, Recrutement international, diplôme de traductions, échanges linguistiques; et (3) intervention au cours et conférence donnée aux étudiants L1 et L2 en sciences politiques qui a suscité de volontaires parmi les étudiants. A part ces rencontres, je me suis aussi occupée de son accueil sur le plan matériel, logistique, pratique, et linguistique. Ce nouveau partenariat structurant en recherche international a bénéficié l'aide de Catherine Mouneyrac, Mihaela Dramba, Ruth Habenburger, Pierre Gueydier, Olivier Landron, Brad Safarik, Adrien Louis, Giao Duong, Jean Robin, Olivia Dangleterre, Charles Reynolds, Nora Cariou, et Dominque Le Gal. Ce projet avec Mme Pillai pourrait être un modèle pour d'autres initiatives à l'avenir proche.

Je fais partie de l'équipe d'evaluation des meilleurs présentations académiques lors de la conférence MSA en juillet 2023. Il s'agissait de choisir le meilleur essai parmi 18 finalistes en langues anglaises et espagnoles. Les autres collègues du comité viennent des universités de Virginia, Francfort, Hamburg, Madrid, Sydney, Madras, et Queens.

Prix accordé par l'Ateneo de Manila pour le rayonnement social du projet Triggered qui a attiré une vingtaine de volontaires pendant quatre ans et qui a ouvert un programme d'aide aux orphelins de la "guerre de drogue" du Président Duterte. Il y a environ 200 enfants tués qui attendent toujours la justice.
