L'objectif de ce WERA-IRN (réseau international de recherche en éducation) est de faire progresser la recherche et les connaissances fondées sur la recherche dans le domaine des sciences de l'éducation, à la lumière de la transformation des conditions bioclimatiques à l'ère de l'Anthropocène, en s'efforçant de remodeler la pensée et la pratique éducatives sur la base de nouveaux paradigmes qui intègrent la réflexion cruciale sur l'Anthropocène. | The aim of this WERA-IRN (international research network in education) is to advance research and research-based knowledge in the educational sciences, in light of the transformation of bioclimatic conditions in the Anthropocene, by working to reshape educational thinking and practice on the basis of new paradigms that include the crucial thinking of the Anthropocene.

Education in the Anthropocene
L'Anthropocène est une nouvelle époque géologique caractérisée par une transformation de l'habitabilité de la Terre pour la vie humaine en société et pour les organismes vivants en général. Les connaissances biogéophysiques contemporaines, organisées autour du paradigme de la rupture (demain n'est pas le prolongement d'aujourd'hui, et des ruptures soudaines et irréversibles pourraient nous attendre), remettent en question l'éducation qui est généralement conçue autour d'un paradigme linéaire.
L'objectif de cet IRN est de faire progresser la recherche et les connaissances fondées sur la recherche dans le domaine des sciences de l'éducation, à la lumière de la transformation des conditions bioclimatiques dans l'Anthropocène. Le but est de faire progresser la recherche en éducation à l'échelle mondiale en s'efforçant de remodeler la pensée et la pratique éducatives sur la base de nouveaux paradigmes qui intègrent la réflexion cruciale sur l'Anthropocène.
L'IRN comprend 18 chercheurs de 10 pays (Royaume-Uni, Italie, Chine, Autriche, Australie, Canada, Inde, Suède, Allemagne et France). Les doctorants dont le sujet porte sur l'éducation à l'ère de l'Anthropocène, sous la direction de professeurs membres de l'IRN, seront invités à participer. Nous souhaitons également encourager les chercheurs émergents à contribuer au renforcement des capacités et à la diffusion des résultats dans des publications de haut niveau.
The Anthropocene is a new geological epoch characterised by a transformation of the Earth's habitability for human life in society and for living organisms broadly. Contemporary biogeophysical knowledge, organised around the paradigm of rupture (tomorrow is not an extension of today, and sudden and irreversible ruptures may be ahead of us), casts doubt on education that is usually conceived around a linear paradigm.
The aim of this IRN is to advance research and research-based knowledge in the educational sciences, in light of the transformation of bioclimatic conditions in the Anthropocene. The goal is to advance educational research worldwide by working to reshape educational thinking and practice on the basis of new paradigms that include the crucial thinking of the Anthropocene.
The IRN comprises 18 researchers from 10 countries (the UK, Italy, China, Austria, Australia, Canada, India, Sweden, Germany and France). Doctoral students whose subject is education in the Anthropocene, under IRN member professors, will be invited to participate. We also wish to promote up-and-coming researchers to contribute to capacity building and the dissemination of results in high-level publications.
